  1. 相关≠因果关系
  2. 数据中的分数范围对相关有非常大的影响
  3. 非常值会对相关系数产生非常大的影响
  4. 解释关系强度应考虑 r²,不只是 r
  • r>0.7高度相关;
  • 0.5<r<0.7中度相关;
  • r>0.3的相关才具有统计意义

4.Interpretation of Pearson's correlation

  1. correlation≠causal relationship
  2. The range of scores in the data has a very large impact on the correlation.
  3. Extraordinary values can have a very large effect on the correlation coefficient
  4. Interpretation of the strength of the relationship should take into account r², not just r.
  • r>0.7 is highly correlated;
  • 0.5<r<0.7 is moderately correlated;
  • The correlation is only statistically significant for r > 0.3.
